Mixed performance of Nepal in ‘B&R Cup U-19 Women’s T20’ competition

November 11-15 , Chin – The Nepali Under-19 women’s national team had won two and lost two matches in the B&R Cup U-19 Women’s T-20 Tournament being held in Shanghai, China from November 11. 

1st Match : Nepal vs Thailand 

In the first match, Nepal lost to Thailand U-19 women’s team by 29 runs. Batting first, the Thailand U-19 women’s cricket team was all out for 91 runs in 18 overs. Opening batswoman N Naranita for Thailand scored 29. For Nepal U-19 women, Dolly Bhatta took 1 wicket, Kritika Marasini 3 wickets, Khushi Dangol 3 wickets, Laxmi Saud 2 wickets and Sila Regmi 1 wicket. Chasing the target, Nepal were bowled out for 62 in 18.1 overs and lost by 29 runs. Rajmati scored 12, Laxmi Saud 10 and Kavita Kuwar 10 for Nepal 

2nd Match : Nepal vs China

Batting first, China was all out for 37 runs. Nepal’s Ishwari Bist took 3 wickets. Chasing a modest target, Nepal U-19 Girls lost only 2 wickets and scored 38 runs to win by 8 wickets. 

3rd Match : Nepal vs Myanmar 

Batting first, Nepal lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and scored 107 runs. Kavita Kuwar scored 26, Yasoda Bist 10, Dolly Bhatta 15, Shila Regmi 15 runs. Chasing the target, Myanmar lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and were all out for 72 runs. For Nepal, Kritika Marasini took 3 wickets, Ishwari Bist 2 wickets, Shila Regmi 1 wicket and Laxmi Saud 1 wicket. Kritika Marasini was declared Player of the Match 

4th Match : Nepal vs Malaysia 

Batting first, Nepal lost 4 wickets in 20 overs and scored 114 runs. Rajmati Airee scored 37, Kavita Kuwar 19, Laxmi Saud 19 and Dolly Bhatta 13 for Nepal. Chasing the target, Malaysia lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and scored 116 runs to win by 5 wickets. For Nepal, Kritika Marasini, Kavita Kuwar, Laxmi Saud, Ishwari Bist took the same 1/1 wicket.
