Nepal women’s senior national team represents Nepal in international cricket competitions and is governed by the Cricket Association of Nepal. The team made its international debut in the ACC Women’s Tournament in July 2007.
Manoj Katwal serves as the head coach of the team whereas Indu Barma captains the team in all formats. Bindu Rawal serves as the vice-captain of the team.
NOTABLE PARTICIPATIONS :
Nepal made its international debut against Thailand in 2007 and played its first T20I match against China on January 12, 2019.
The team participated in the 2012 Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup, marking Nepal’s first-ever participation in the Women’s Asia Cup. The Nepal women’s team qualified for the next edition as well, the 2016 Women’s Asia Cup.
NOTABLE INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES :
In the ACC Women Twenty20 in 2009, Rubina Chettry took five wickets in the five deliveries of the final over to tie the match from a seemingly hopeless position against Singapore.
The 2024 ACC Women’s Premier Cup saw Rubina Chettry register Nepal’s first-ever ton in women’s T20I and helped Nepal register its highest total in the format against the Maldives.
