Nepal Men’s Senior National Team

Nepal men’s senior national team represents Nepal in international cricket competitions and is governed by the Cricket Association of Nepal. Nepal has navigated through various ACC and ICC World Cricket League systems and eventually gained an ODI status in 2018. 

Monty Desai serves as the head coach of the team whereas Rohit Kumar Paudel captains the team in all formats. 

NOTABLE PARTICIPATIONS : 

Nepal qualified for the 2014 ICC World Twenty20, the first instance of the team’s participation in the senior teams’ World Cup in any format. Nepal gained the ODI status for the first time in its history through the 2018 World Cricket League Division Two and successfully defended the ODI status via the 2019-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

Nepal qualified for the ACC Asia Cup after beating the UAE in the finals of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023. The team followed the Asia Cup participation with the successful qualification of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
