Nepal’s national cricket team concluded a successful tour of the United States with a comprehensive 3-0 T20 series clean sweep, demonstrating their dominance throughout the contest. The third and final match saw Nepal secure victory, with a crucial 50-run contribution from Aasif Sheikh and a three-wicket haul by pacer Sompal Kami, dismantling the USA’s batting order.
The first match set the tone for the series as Nepal posted a challenging target of 164, led by captain Rohit Paudel’s 49 runs. The world’s No. 2 all-rounder, Dipendra Singh Airee, contributed 28 runs and excelled with the ball, picking up 3 wickets for 27 runs. Supporting bowlers Karan KC, Rijan Dhakal, and Gulshan Jha added one wicket each, limiting the USA to 147 runs and securing a 17-run victory. Shayan Jahangir’s unbeaten 60 off 34 balls and Andries Gous’ 30 runs from 25 deliveries were the notable performances for the hosts.
